Dover Stone Church Cave

Doug and Nicole chose the enchanting Dover Stone Church Cave as the backdrop for their engagement session. Nestled in the heart of nature, this hidden gem is often referred to as the eastern Grand Canyon, offering a balance of natural beauty and geological wonders. Despite its name, is not a traditional church but a narrow limestone gorge near Dover Plains.

Its "Church" name comes from a triangular cave-like entrance, though it's not a traditional cave. Shaped by erosion over thousands of years, the gorge features cascades and a natural dam, creating a picturesque waterfall during high flow.

The cave is beautiful, but the trees were equally spectacular. Upon entering the trails, we were met with EPIC trees with vibrant Hudson Valley colors!! The trees were perfect. Wandering through the trails, Doug and Nicole discovered the nooks and crannies that nature had artfully crafted along the way. Each stop became an opportunity to capture intimate moments amid the serene beauty of the surroundings.

Can we please take a moment to appreciate the foliage?! On one side of the trail, the trees showed off their orange leaves; on the other side, the leaves still held on to their green coloring.
