Locust Grove Estate Wedding

Sara and Danny chose the month of October to celebrate their wedding day. With fall colors and leaves changing, Locust Grove is where they decided to exchange vows. The charm and grounds of Locust Grove provided beautiful photos, with the vibrant hues of autumn leaves creating a natural backdrop for their ceremony.

First Look

After what felt like 20 years of rain this wedding season, we hoped for clear skies for this October wedding, and the weather did not disappoint. Sara and Danny started their day with a quiet and intimate first look at the Locust Grove Estate grounds. They walked the trails and spent time alone before the ceremony and guests arrived.

Ceremony

Soon after family photos, guests made their way to the ceremony area- a large tree on the grounds of Locust Grove.

The flowers girls sprinkled dried flowers and the ceremony aisle filled the air with a lavender scent. I’ve never seen this and I hope this becomes a common practice. I LOVED how the scent filled the space before Sara walked the aisle.

Reception

The newlyweds made it a point to connect with each guest, ensuring that everyone felt the warmth of their hospitality. As a photographer, I enjoyed every part of their day, but their reception was AMAZING! Oh, the dancing, and dancing and more dancing. Their family and friends cheered, and the dance floor was packed.

Sara and Danny's wedding marked the end of the 2023 wedding season, and it couldn't have been better. Their main goal for the day was simple: enjoy it, and that's exactly what they did. The whole day had a laid-back vibe, filled with smiles, good company, and plenty of celebration with family and friends.
