Skyview Golf Club Wedding

It’s finally time to share Dani and Andrew’s wedding; originally scheduled to be posted in April of 2022, but April didn’t have that holiday feel, so I waited to till December. The couple chose winter colors for their day: deep reds, hunter green, and gold. Even the groom’s suit was a classy deep green. Every was so beautiful and every detail thoughtfully thought out.

Dani and Andrew chose Skyview Golf Club as their wedding venue. The venue overlooks a Golf Club, which has the most beautiful views. But as winter weddings go, we lost daylight hours pretty quickly. We arrived after dark and the couple opted for a moodier feel for their portraits. Then when it came time for family portraits, the staff at Skyview accommodated the couple. They moved already set up table and chairs so we could do some photos by the fireplace.

Wedding Day Details

  • groom got ready at a hotel while the bride got ready at her parent’s house

  • no first look, they opted to have a traditional Catholic Church ceremony and soon after we headed to Skyview for photos

  • family photos held in the reception area

  • Dani and Andrew portraits were done outdoors (yes, in the dark and in the cold!)

  • Second photographer: Debbie Gander

Nighttime Wedding Portraits

The idea of nighttime photos can send most couples over the edge. If faced with having to do photos at night, just remember to trust your photographer and remember it’s team effort. For Dani and Andrew, yes, we trusted each other with these photos. They trusted what I saw and I trusted them to be present for the photos.
