Locust Grove Estate Wedding, Poughkeepsie N.Y.

Juliet and Chris- oh, what beautiful people. I enjoyed this day, and it will be one I will remember for a long time.

Before their wedding day, we hopped on 2 video calls for intros and finalizing details. But the day of their wedding was when we first met in person. Naturally, couples feel nervous when it’s time for portraits, but they ease right into the day. The goal for me: their portraits and to document. Their goal: to celebrate with family and friends. We both did just that.

Wedding Day Details

  • J. + C. had a big wedding celebration in the Dominican Republic with family- so when planning for something more intimate- Locust Grove was the right fit.

  • They didn’t have a traditional first look but instead got ready at the venue and gave me the thumbs up when they felt good to go for portraits

  • For their photos, we incorporated the grounds and the amazing architecture.

  • Before I left, I pulled them outside for nighttime photos since the grounds offered so much more at night.

  • Second Photographer: Kevin Venkatesh

For those visiting, spend the day, don’t steal the flowers and embrace the grounds. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Adios for now!
