19Main Wedding, New Milford CT
Where to even begin?! This place is SOOO cool. Little background on 19Main: In the aftermath of the catastrophic Great Fire of 1902, which ravaged the landscape of New Milford, Connecticut, two prominent banks found themselves displaced along with other establishments, including the renowned New England House tavern and inn.
Responding to the urgent need for reconstruction, the two banks, the New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank collaborated on a plan to build a shared facility on the site of the destroyed inn- at the intersection of Bank and Main Street.
Over the years, the building predominantly served as a bank, with Webster Bank being its latest tenant. Then, in 2015, a company called Village Green Investments took over the building. It opened on September 11, 2015, and now it's a place where people can have parties and get-togethers.
Throughout the renovation process, they blended modern amenities with the building's rich historical legacy. Notably, remnants of its three vaults.

Getting Ready
There is so much to love about this venue. But what I loved most was the convenience of the spaces 19Main offers to its couples. They have two separate getting-ready locations and ample space to spread out and relax.
A. chose to get ready downstairs and used the beautiful blue room for her portraits.
First Look and Vows
C. and A. chose to do a first look and exchange vows in private. This is something I’ve started seeing more couples carving out time for during their day. Soon after, they headed downstairs to the ceremony space, where their family and friends were waiting.
